Both companies offer patients a *ten year warranty, and even a*lifetime warranty for breast implants, starting from the day the patient has their augmentation surgery. This doesn't mean that implants need to be replaced after ten years, as many patients guess, but rather that manufactures want to provide patients with some assurance about their choice (or surgeon's choice) in their products.

The warranty typically includes a free replacement device(s), and *financial compensation starting at $1200-$2400. *this is dependent on type of warranty, and manufactures limitations and exclusions. see manufactures direct web-page(s) for details.

The warranty is for damage(s) of product. This only covers rupture due to loss of shell integrity, including patient trauma and unknown cause but does not apply to :

• adverse reactions other than rupture
  
• removal of intact implants due to capsular contracture, wrinkling or rippling
• loss of implant shell integrity resulting from reoperative procedures, open capsulotomy, or closed compression capsulotomy procedures
  
• removal of intact implants for size alteration
• events covered by insurance
